So I finally figure out how to edit the blog I didn't do much changes I just changed the color of the background to yellow. The blog already looked amazing so I didn't want to do much changes.

So my contributions are that I initally set up the blog. I changed the template and created the title on the blog. I see that a lot of changes have been made, the blog looks really good now. So I did post on my introduction my contributions, but I saw everyone adding theirs here so I thought I'd restate them. I am new to blogging, and a busy mother and wife! I will do my best to contribute to this blog as expected by the professor and in a supportive manner of this group project! Good luck blogging everyone!

My name is Jenn Ellis, and I'm happy to be working with you all!

I am taking my final two classes for my LIT certification, and hope to remain employed with the San Marcos Unified School District, but as a Library Media Technician! Currently, I work as an Instructional Aide at La Costa Meadows Elementary School, working primarily with third and fourth grade students.

I live in Carlsbad with my husband, 11 year old daughter, and our chiweenie Bones. In my spare time I love to take photos, go to concerts, attend various Comic Cons. I do have an Instagram account but it's set to private; my user name is JennaciousE if you would like to request to follow me. I am also active on Facebook, both on my personal page, as well as being the admin for the La Costa Meadows parent group.

Okay,
I have changed the background to cloud, then realized today that it was changed back. I have experimented with navigating back and forth, trying to get my profile to be published on the about page. Not one tutorial out there has helped me do this. My profile on gmail, not Google+.  I am slowly not getting this. Am awaiting helpful emails from people who have helped me thusfar.

Introductory Post: 
Hey everyone! Just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone for working on such a great blog. I really love the colors & design for our theme. I think we are almost done completing it except for a few more people who need to add their personal information on the "About" page. Anyway, I added my personal information there versus in this introductory post (not sure exactly how this was suppose to be structured). I guess once we "all" think the blog is complete then we need to send a message to the teacher with a link to the blog (not sure if we do that individually or just one person does it)? Thanks!

Made the following changes:
1.  Background “cloud” background was a little to visually busy so I changed to a solid color.

2.  Adjusted width to 1100 pixels and made the sidebar slightly larger.

3.  Made the “unselected” text in the tabs text a light green.

4.  Changed the “selected” color in the tab background to a light gray.

5.  Changed the color of the date header to a little brighter red.

For my contributions I have added my information on the about page as well as adjusting the mobile theme to picture window with clouds.  All the other settings look great! I love the theme and colors!

Welcome to our team blog for the Spring 2017 LT130 Library Media and Technology class at Palomar College. My name is Karen Nicholson and I am a Library Media Technician at San Marcos Middle School (just a few blocks from Palomar College). I absolutely LOVE my job. I was hired last May and I am still in shock that they put me in charge of a library. The students there are amazing and I really do have the best co-workers. I have always found libraries to be safe place, and I hope that my students feel this way about our library at SMMS. I am just a few classes short of getting my Library Technical Assistant Certificate, I hope to graduate in December 2017. I am happily married (15 years this April) and have 2 wonderful sons, aged 7 & 9.

I have an instagram page for SMMS library and a twitter account.

Here are some more of the changes I made to our blog template: I changed the body text font from Arial to Merriweather. I removed html code at bottom of About Page.  Updated my section of About page with photo and blurb. Changed Date Header to Droid Sans Font and a red Text color. Changed Gadget Links Visited Color to blue and Alternate Color to a darker blue. Changed Gadget Text to Droid Sans and the color to blue. Changed Gadget Title Color to Droid Sans font and blue color. I re-adjusted the width of the blog to be wider.

MORE CHANGES

I set a different color on the blog background to be light teal. I like it.

CHANGES, ALTERATIONS.

I made an earlier comment but can't see it. This cloud frame background was added because I was learning how to do it and thought it wouldn't clash with the existing design. However, I am wondering how it can be changed to a teal tint instead. Doubt it, but it is definitely an altered state of status quo.....also made some bold suggestion to the flavor of OUR blog....Facts held by libraries, a responsibility,  perpetuating facts, truth.

 Libraries Perpetuate Facts .   I wrote this in small letters. The blog is a 130 blog, yes, but it doesn't yet announce that we know how much of a social  responsibility library blogs should have.  Perhaps analyzing what the purpose of this blog is too early right now. It looks fine, don't want to wreck or alter anyone's attempts just yet.

I had a lot of time this last weekend to work on this but unfortunately hadn't yet been checked in as admin status. Therefore I missed out on the build. This assignment could have been better if a collaboration occurred and everyone had the same rights.... I wish there were a way we could have gathered each other's availability and the first one to set up the blog would have given all the same rights.  This is a lesson to us all!!  At this time all looks okay, I'd only change a few things on it but don't think much is necessary (Monday night) Maybe by Wednesday I will change something.

Blog Changes

I just want to stress that any changes I made can be changed by the group. 

The changes I made are as follows:

• Changed style of Blog Archive to Flat List
• Added Text gadget box to the footer with site attributions and edited HTML to center the text
• Edited the site title
• Added a blog description (from class syllabus) *I just added this to the About page and deleted it from the site header
• Changed the template -> body layout
• Changed the blog title font and size
• Changed blog post title fonts
• Changed page text color to black
• Changed the blog background and color scheme
• Adjusted the blog width just a bit
• Adjusted the right sidebar
• Changed the Blog Navbar (navigation bar) at the top to be no longer transparent
• Created a header for the blog (I can edit and add a new one if it is not liked)
• Changed link text color
• Added pages - think of these as placeholders! *the "About" page has a rough description of this blog/project and a section for each of us to add a little about ourselves.

Changes I made to our Blog

Here are the changes I made to our blog:

*I changed the template to 'traveler'

*I changed the title font and page text font to Crimson Text

*I increased the size of the page text font

*I narrowed the right sidebar margin

*I updated my profile

*I noticed that Darla wasn't listed as an admin, so I changed her from 'author' to admin.
